Money is getting really tight around here, so I’m trying to think of ways to make some extra. One thing I can do is lease Daisy out a little more. She’s so wonderful for adult amateurs who are starting off! Pretty safe and a good girl for the most part, but she makes you work so it feels good when you get her to do something really pretty. I have 2 people who are thinking about it now-Sharon and Hannah are thinking about leasing at least a few days a week, and now an old friend, Claudia, is thinking about it as well. I’m nervous about leasing her out, but she’s been excellent for Sharon for a while now, and I think it’s something I need to do. We aren’t going to be showing again for a while in an effort to save some cash, so I don’t think it will do any harm to have people riding her. Once work picks up again, I won’t feel as desperate to do anything like this, but until then, I think it’s just a good idea. I hope it works out with everyone because that could really help me out.
Another idea that I had was making handmade note cards-not with stamps, but hand-drawn. Everyone says I’m a pretty good artist, and Sharon makes note cards with stamps, so we’re thinking about trying it together. I have a friend who owns a travelling tack shop, too, so I think I could probably get her to sell some for me! We’d do note cards and we’d do framed pictures probably. I can see how that goes. Hopefully it works out ok. I’ll probably start working on things very soon. I can start by taking some pictures of different things, then drawing them out and working with what I like. The coolest thing about the friend with the traveling tack shop is that when people are at shows, they tend to be a bit more impulsive-I think we could do ok with that
We’ll see! It certainly can’t hurt because it’s all free to do
I’m very lucky to have such a great family and wonderful friends
It’s so nice to go out and see everyone when I’m stressed out-it relaxes me to be with them all. So thank you to all the friends and family who read my blog-you guys are the best! Sharon-we’ll start working on our ideas really soon!!
